All week, I’ve been in London for Fashion Week. With so many of the amazing brands on Lookfantastic being involved with the hair and makeup backstage, we’ve been given front row access to all the looks going down the runway. Read on to find out some of my favourites.
Day 1
Eudon Choi
At Eudon Choi, Stephen Low from the Neville Salon was working his magic to create soft tousled waves to contrast with the luxe tailoring.
The hair was simple but with great movement and texture, all help in place with L’Oréal Professionnel’s styling products.
PPQ
Wella Professionals EIMI were doing the hair and Lord and Berry were doing the makeup at PPQ.
The hair was soft and whispy, with up dos and crops. The Perfect Setting Spray was the secret weapon for holding everything in place.
For the makeup, the focus was on bold lips and brows with a very clean face and eyes. We spied the Lord & Berry Cream Foundation being used on all the models for a perfect finish.
Day 2
Markus Lupfer
Bumble and Bumble were behind the hair at Markus Lupfer. The inspiration was ‘romantic but tough’ with a slightly rebellious feel.
They wetted hair down and saturated it with the Bb. Hairdressers Invisible Oil Primer and then did quiffs on the top with defined side partings before defining and separating the ends with a spritz of Bb. Cityswept finish.
Palmer // Harding
Stephen Low did the looks at Palmer// Harding for L’Oréal Professionnel. Palmer // Harding are known for their tailoring and the hair was created to be a contrast with that.
The look was a relaxed half-up, half-down look with the ponytail made into a twist. This kept it all very natural, with not a hairtie in sight.
Day 3
J JS Lee
Adam Reed from Percy and Reed was responsible for the hair at J JS Lee. The look was “Cool School Girl Hair” with soft waves and natural texture that gave a really untouched look.
They used the L’Oréal Professionnel Tecni ART Beach Waves and L’Oréal Professionnel Tecni ART Volume Architect to get the perfect texture, pinning hair away from the face and letting it set for a natural wave.
This was all paired with bright pink eyes and blue mascara, against fresh skin.
Paul Smith
Bumble and Bumble created a sophisticated look for Paul Smith. It is natural but classy, with the inspiration of ‘Back to Heritage’.
It was all about the blow dry prep, using the Bb. All Style Blow Dry for fine hair of the Bb. Repair Blow Dry for thicker. To finish, the hair was twisted up into a bun and finished with the Bb. Hairdresser’s Invisible Dry Oil Finishing Spray.
