The spring summer beauty trends for 2018 are here and boy are we excited. With some gorgeous new looks coming down the catwalk, we can’t help but want to try them all. So, we have put together an exclusive guide on how you get bang on trend for SS18 without setting foot in New York, London, Milan or Paris.
Fresh makeup with curled lashes
As seen on the runways at ETRO, fresh, glowing skin with pared back makeup and multidimensional lashes are set to be all the rage for spring summer 2018.
Choose lightweight face bases which melt into the skin and give a seamless finish. Our favourite is the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation, mixed with a few drops of the Algenist Luminising Highlighters for a naturally glossy look.
For lashes, choose a super volumising and long-lasting mascara. Our favourite of all time is the Lancôme Hypnôse Volume-à-Porter Mascara, which also happens to be many a makeup artists staple.

Sea-inspired eye makeup
Blues’ and greens’ are the in-colours for spring summer 2018, and although it might seem like quite a daunting trend, it’s actually super easy to incorporate into your makeup routine.
If you want to nod to the trend, choose a blue or green eyeliner such as the Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen, and draw along your lash line, blending out for natural results. Although you might prefer a classic black liner, colours such as blue and green can actually make your eyes pop and do wonders for making you look more awake.
If you want to go full trend ahead, try using a coloured eyeshadow, such as the NYX Metals Palette. It contains an incredible 12 shadow shades for mixing, blending and customising your own runway look.

Glossed, raspberry lips
Expect to see a sea of just-bitted stained lips sweeping the runways this season. Glossed, raspberry lips are the go-to trend for spring summer 2018 beauty, and we couldn’t be happier.
Stay well away from matte and liquid lipsticks, and instead think about tinted balms and stains. Benefit’s Benetint is a classic that can be used on lips and cheeks, and gives that non-perfected finish which we love.
A little tip for girls-on-the-go is to use a coloured lip liner and blend it out with your finger before adding on some lip balm. NARS Velvet Lip Liner is perfect when paired with the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Balm.

Bridal-inspired beauty
If you’re getting married into 2018, you’re in luck. Bridal-inspired beauties are sweeping down the catwalk with makeup suitable for your special day. Think nude lips, dewy skin, pearlescent eye lids and naturally unperfect hair.
Use the Redken Powder Grip 03 to create textured hair that looks like you’ve just got out of bed (gracefully of course). Gone are the days of perfect up-dos’ and tight curls, it’s time to let loose and go bohemian on your big day.

Rose gold cheeks
If you thought rose gold had had its day you’re very much mistaken. The shade is about to make a huge comback for spring summer 2018 on the cheeks with a rosy gold flush coming into the spotlight.
Think coral pinks infused with gold shimmers such as the NARS Super Orgasm Blush. Or, if you already have a pink blush you love, layer it with a golden highlighter such as the MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Showgold.
