They may have won our hearts in the nineties and early noughties with their hilarious on-screen antics & oh-so-chic merchandise, but the Olsen twins have transcended their childhood fame to become 2 of the most stylish women on the planet. So, in honour of their 30th birthday (yes, 30! How time flies), I’ve put together a tutorial on how to emulate their signature beauty looks.
There’s no doubt that the Olsens favour a natural makeup routine, which is wonderful for us; not only is it budget and travel friendly, but it also allows us to hit that snooze button once more in the morning! Even though it’s a wrench to step away from the bold colours and killer contour, it is very refreshing to see a beauty regime which is so effortless and beautiful.

1.The Bold Brow
4.65 Stars
26 Reviews£18.50Shop NowMost of us struggle with tousled hair, but the Olsen twins somehow pull off the tousled brow flawlessly. Perfectly messy and natural, they let their brows do the talking when it comes to their makeup.
How to:
Put down that brow pencil and simply comb Gimme Brow by Benefit through your brows to add just the right amount of texture and volume. Then marvel at those extra 15 minutes you can stay in bed because you’re no longer slaving over them with an angled brush and pot of pomade!

2.The Flawless Complexion
4 Stars
3 Reviews£27.00Shop NowIn the same vein, Mary-Kate & Ashley aren’t ever seen caking on the foundation either, preferring to go for a more natural look. Swap the layers of concealer and foundation for a tinted moisturizer to allow your own natural complexion to shine through.
How to:
Using your fingers or a foundation brush apply a thin layer of tinted moisturiser to a clean face, concentrating on the areas that need it most. Use a sponge to blend for a super natural finish.

3.The Spidery Lashes
4.45 Stars
20 Reviews£9.99Shop NowAnother bold statement in their makeup routine are their dark spidery lashes. Harking back to the 1960s, their doll-like eyelashes draw focus to the eyes and are on just the right side of clumpy.
How to:
Apply lashing of mascara to both your upper and lower lashes, taking care to apply to the top of the lases whilst twisting around the brush for an added curl. Our top tip? Avoid a lash disaster by allowing any rogue mascara to dry before removing!

4.The Radiant Highlight
4.53 Stars
19 Reviews£34.00Shop NowThe Olsen twins love rocking a dewy radiant glow, and what better way to do this than everyone’s favourite makeup item of the moment: highlighter! Make sure to keep a light hand though if you want to achieve their understated look.
How To:
Apply a cream or powder highlighter to the places on your face where the light would naturally hit, including the brow bone, the cheek bone, the cupid’s bow and the tip of the nose and chin.

5.The Nude Lip
Shop NowMary-Kate and Ashley have certainly nailed the ‘your lips but better’ look and with nudes ranging from ballet slipper pink to dusky rose there’s a lip colour to flatter every complexion.
How to:
Keep your lips nourished by using a tinted lipbalm in a subtle pink. Not only will your lips thank you but it’s the perfect product for on-the-go and adds a sheer glossy look too!

6.The Youthful Skin
4.71 Stars
78 Reviews£49.99Shop NowThere’s no denying that the Olsen twins have aged beautifully. In fact they look closer to 20 than they do 30! Aging begins in the early 20s and we all know that prevention is better than cure, so make sure you take time in your skincare routine to address aging before the need arises.
How to:
Apply an anti-aging face mask to a clean face, neck and decolletage at least once a week. Remove using a warm damp cloth and follow with your normal evening skincare routine.

7.The Bed-Head Hair
4.37 Stars
46 Reviews£26.00Shop NowFinish your Olsen-esque beauty look with the twin’s famed ‘just rolled out of bed’ hair. Believe it or not it takes quite a bit of work to look so chicly disheveled, and our go-to product to achieve it is a good texturising spray.
How To:
Apply the spray to the roots of your hair whilst your head is upside down and back comb slightly. Work the product in with your fingers and then add to the mid-lengths of your hair scrunching as you go.
